This course focuses on the social, cultural, and scientific dimensions of sustainability and the concepts of identity, diversity, social equity, and inclusion/exclusion in French society.
Students have weekly class meetings and complete a service project in local schools, nonprofits, NGOs, or businesses. Students personal interests will be matched with the volunteer site whenever possible.
With the instructor's permission a student may intern abroad at a local French organization.
With the instructor's permission a student may pursue research with a focus on the French language or culture while abroad.
